Tucson, Arizona – Three members of the State House of Representatives today announced their support for Daniel Hernandez’s campaign for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District.
Hernandez is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives and former President of the Sunnyside School Board. His supporters reflect his work strengthening Arizona. Today’s announcement includes Arizona House of Representative members Myron Tsosie, Kevin Volk, and Lydia Hernandez.
These endorsements are part of a growing coalition of organizations, grassroots donors, and community leaders supporting Hernandez’s bid for Congress. In the first eight days of his campaign, Hernandez raised over $300,000. He is the first to be endorsed by labor and 2 national organizations, with more on the way.
Myron Tsosie, Arizona House of Representatives, District 6, released the following statement:
“As a former school board member, I know firsthand how critical it is to have leaders who understand the challenges facing our education system. Daniel Hernandez shares that experience, having served on his local school board. There and in the State House of Representatives he fought tirelessly for students, teachers, and families. His deep roots in southeastern Arizona and his years of service to the community prove his commitment to ensuring every child has access to a quality education. I am proud to support Daniel for Congress because I know he will always stand up for our schools, our families, and our future.”
Kevin Volk, Arizona House of Representatives, District 17, released the following statement:
“Tucson needs new leadership that is focused on building opportunity in our local economy. Daniel Hernandez has a proven record of not only advocating for Southern Arizona, but of delivering results, no matter what the obstacles. At a time when the reckless MAGA agenda is targeting Arizonans and raising costs for families, we need someone who has done battle with extreme Republicans and won. Daniel understands the challenges Arizona families face and will work hard to get the job done, and I’m proud to endorse him for Congress.”
Lydia Hernandez, Arizona House of Representatives, District 24, released the following statement:
