Tucson, Arizona – Two long time southern Arizona officials announced their support for Daniel Hernandez’s campaign for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District today: former Pima County Supervisor Sharon Bronson and State Senator Sally Ann Gonzales.
Daniel Hernandez is a former member of the Arizona House of Representatives and former President of the Sunnyside School Board. His supporters reflect his work strengthening Arizona.
Sharon Bronson, former Pima County Supervisor, released the following statement:
“Daniel Hernandez knows what working families in Southern Arizona are going through because he’s lived it. He grew up in a working-class household, helped support his family, and never lost sight of where he came from. As a survivor of gun violence, he brings a deep understanding of what’s at stake when it comes to safety and community. Whether it was on the school board or in the legislature, Daniel has always focused on what matters most—lowering costs, creating opportunity, and making government work for the people it’s supposed to serve. He’s exactly the kind of fighter we need in Congress.”
Sally Ann Gonzales, State Senate, District 20, released the following statement:
“I’ve known Daniel Hernandez for years—as a tireless advocate, a fighter for our communities, and a proud product of Southern Arizona. Daniel has always stood up for working families, for public education, and for our tribal and border communities. He leads with compassion, integrity, and a deep understanding of the challenges we face. I’m proud to endorse Daniel for Congress because I know he’ll bring the same courage and commitment to Washington that he’s shown throughout his career. Our communities deserve a bold, proven leader—and that’s exactly who Daniel is.”
