Tucson, Arizona – Daniel Hernandez, a former School Board member, State Representative, and gun violence survivor seeking the Democratic nomination for Congress in AZ-07, has earned two more local endorsements from leaders in AZ-07 today: Santa Cruz County Supervisor John Fanning and Former Yuma County Treasurer Angela Moreno.
These endorsements follow the news that Hernandez officially qualified for the AZ-07 ballot with the support of nearly 1,800 signers. He also has raised over $400,000 since launching his campaign – the only campaign to publicly disclose his campaign fundraising numbers.
Hernandez’s campaign continues to gain momentum with new endorsements from officials and organizations at the federal, state, and local levels.
Santa Cruz County Supervisor John Fanning released the following statement:
“Daniel Hernandez has always been a friend to Santa Cruz County. He understands the unique challenges we face at the border and the importance of investing in our rural communities. I’m proud to endorse Daniel because I know he’ll bring a strong, steady voice to Congress that puts southern Arizona first.”
Former Yuma County Treasurer Angela Moreno released the following statement:
“With a proven track record of advocating for progressive policies, Daniel Hernandez is the leader we need to push back against the special interests and billionaires like Elon Musk who are dominating Washington. He will fight for policies that uplift working families, protect our environment, and ensure that every voice is heard. Vote for Daniel Hernandez- a true champion for the people.”
